Arm’s Reach Away From Me

Arm’s Reach Away From Me.

All I see is the light from your screen reflected in your eyes while you’re not looking at me.

My existence doesn’t mean anything, it’s make-believe.

You would rather me be anything but me.

Keeping me arm’s reach away,

Watching the minuets, the hours, day after day.

While you’re not here you can’t see,

The disappointment coursing all over me.

All I see is the light from your screen reflected in your eyes while you’re not looking at me.

My existence doesn’t mean anything, it’s make-believe.

You would rather me be anything but me.

You’re heart tastes bitter sweet,

Longing for our lost passion, desire the heat.

You stopped caring while I fell apart,

Forever wishing everything would just restart.

All I see is the light from your screen reflected in your eyes while you’re not looking at me.

My existence doesn’t mean anything, it’s make-believe.

You would rather me be anything but me.

I know things will never change,

I will continue to survive even though everything still feels strange.

I can never stop my stomach tying itself in knots,

Even telling myself a leopard will never change its spots.

All I see is the light from your screen reflected in your eyes while you’re not looking at me.

My existence doesn’t mean anything, it’s make-believe.

You would rather me be anything but me keeping me an arm’s reach away.
